Downloaded Komoot onto the 530 and tested it out - looks really good. Evidently i can plan a route on the mobile with Komoot and send it to the 530 - i believe it's via bluetooth. This could be the holy grail i've been looking for when the naviagation on the 530 screws up or i've wandered off the route and can't get back to either the original route.
I've created one basic route on the mobile's komoot and was able to transfer it to the 530. This is really really good !!!
And route planning is very easy - very intuitive. You point and it will add to the route towards the destination - so you can tune or adjust the route to your preference (safety). No unnecessarily dragging of a line - which can be difficult as your fingers are sweaty and shaky.
Are there anything i should be aware of??
I think i should have mobile service most of the time so the map on the Komoot shouldn't be an issue.
