Speed/ cadence sensor

Hi

just upgraded from Edge 510 to 530. First time using it today and it was net displaying speed or distance.
it kept on auto pausing so i disabled that. I had paired it with exciting speed/cadence sensor (GSC 10).
it did detect my cadence but speed was 0.0.
I tried auto (gps) and manual (wheel size)

please help. Thanks

  • Check that the wheel magnet is correctly placed for the GSC-10.

  • And check that the battery is OK.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, the magnet is correctly positioned. It was working fine 3 days ago with my Edge 510.

Thanks, I will change it today just to eliminate that. It was detecting my cadence though

  • I had the same with the dualtrap sensor. My sensor flashed so it found the magnet alright, but cadens was 0 rpm. I found out that it works when I not connect the sensor as a dualtrap, but an unidentified speed/cadence sensor. I think it now connects via ANT+ in stead of bluetooth. It works for me now...

I think my edge 530 has a problem with bluetooth and the dualtrap + sensor. Although it says that it is connected....

  • I am having this exact issue. Changes the battery but didn’t help. Lights flash in the DuoTrap S but no cadence. How do you ensure it connects via ANT and not the Bluetooth? Strange that it won’t read via Bluetooth. Any help?

  • Delete the sensor that doesn't work. Than when you are going trough the menu list of sensor, you first get cadence but if you scroll down further you get speed and cadence item. I selected this and then it connected with ANT+....

  • Thanks for the feedback unidentified speed/cadence sensor also works for me.

  • Doing tike you said works for me, thank you very much!

  • I have exactly the same problem.  Is there any fix for this?  I have DuotapS sensor and Garmin Explore.  Duotap connects to Garmin fine; Duotap LED flash as expected, have changed the Duotap battery twice, tried deleting the sensor on Garmin and re-enabling multiple times.  All made no difference.  Even did a hard reset on my Garmin; no difference.  Connecting as Speed and Cadence sensor.

I would really like to see my cadence and know that my speed is not solely based on GPS.  But both cadence and speed always read 0.0 (without GPS).  Any suggestions?  This is so annoying.
