Garmin 530 won't turn on, sometimes it won't turn off

I bought a 530 back in October. Eventually had to get it replaced as it wouldn't load the maps on and in the end wouldn't link to the computer with a lead. I received the new one just before lockdown here in France. we aren't supposed to cycle, so I've been to the shop to buy bread (the very hilly route  - pyrenees) 5 times). I've had 2 problems with it in those 5 times. One day the screen was on andunresponsive after being charged up. I had to leave it till it drained then charged and booted it up normally. This morning i tried to go for the bread run and it wouldn't turn on, I held to power button for 20 odd seconds and I then heard the 'power off' sound. I wouldn't turn on again tho. I found my old trusty Garmin 200 and went out. I got home just now and read that a 'heard reset' works (power button + lap for 10 odd seconds). That worked. But it shouldn't be doing this. I'm really not impressed with the GPS' endurance

I see similar issues. I think it was a software update in the past 6 months. I don't recall having any of these issues when I bought it last year.

It also keeps posting the wrong date for rides.
