two bikes --- 1 x 530, how do I make sure it's reading the right sensor

Weird but true (and kinda frequent situation).

I own

* 1 x 530 edge

* 2 x Road bikes (a race and a training bike)

* 2 x HR straps (one newer, one older)

I will ride 1 bike at a time

HOWEVER, when my friend stops by I'll loan them my second bike and HR strap and we will go for a ride together.

I have the same type of sensors on both bikes (cadence and speed and HR)

I setup my edge to recognize both bikes sensors.

So what happens when both my friend and I bike (using my two bikes).

What sensors does the edge pickup? and how can I make sure it doesn't pick up speed from one bike and cadence from the other......

  • Probably only way to ensure right sensor are connected, is to disable unwanted ones from sensor menu. You don't have to remove/delete them, just disable. And then enable later when needed. Not optimal, but not big effort either if not done every day.

  • What Kurev said is probably the best answer.  I have all of my sensors named as well so it makes navigating to the right one to enable or disable it easier than remembering that some random ANT ids are on a certain bike.
