Edit gear used on a ride

Edge 530. How can I edit the gear ( bike ) used on a ride using mobile app and not on safari etc? Just because I have a default bike set I want to jump on a bike and ride, then quick edit on app. On old edge 800 you can just press power button once and select which bike you’re on rather than profile Road , MTB etc as I’m sure I’m not the only one with more than 1 bike of each discipline?

I believe you'd have to finish the ride, then edit the gear.

Yes tried but I didn’t want to keep editing to which bike is default. It’s easy on a browser but if I’m not at home then the mobile app is of no use except to upload and then wait till you can do it.

I don't think Garmins track activities by bike any more, it's by activity type. My old 510 was by bike, similar to your 800. You could set up different activity profiles and use them as bike profiles I suppose.
