Turn by turn navigation stops after a while

I make routes in Strava and load these in my Edge 530 via the IQ connect. At the beginning everything goes fine and it gives me turn by turn navigation. However after a while, this may vary from ride to ride, the turn by turn stops. I tried stopping and starting the course, but to no avail. I am using climbpro, hope this doesn't interfere?

Anybody an idea how to fix this? Or is this a known bug?

No fix that I know of. All you can do is switch to the map page and follow your route using that until the directions start appearing again.

I have had something similar on my 830. I manually GPX route files to my unit, Sometimes I will get a navigation prompt saying 'Follow Route' and after that I won't get any more prompts for a while. At some point I will start getting navigation prompts again. I have no idea why this happens.

Turn by turn stops after a while by routes created in strava.

It is nothing to do with Strava. It is a Garmin bug. What maps are you using?

I use the latest Garmin maps. Synced with garmin express yesterday and the maps where up to date. Don't know at this moment which version. But I can look it up when I'm home from work.

Do you know a fix?

Mmmmm... Someone tried to use the openbike map instead?

@Garmin could you provide a solution to let it work. It is annoying that turn by turn stops for routes from strava and other media

And when this bug is also in uploading a gpx file. What is the way to go to make routes for the garmin 530?

Any service that produces a GPX/TCX/FIT route file is equally as good. It all comes down to user interface preference. RideWithGPS, Strava, Komoot, Garmin Connect all produce perfectly good route files.

Oké, there is the missing turn by turn bug with strava. Is there a route composer that resolves this bug? Or with all composers a chance the bug will appear?

There are no turn by turn directions in a GPX route file. The turn prompts are generated by the Garmin unit. If there are any issues with these then it is completely down to Garmin and not where the route was created. Encourage Garmin to fix the bug.
