Using Edge 530 for structured workouts

I recently discovered using the Edge for structured workouts.  Previously I would load the workouts into TrainerRoad and run it from there.  Using the Edge is simpler.  I have a few questions / comments.

I use a Wahoo KICKR Core paired with the Edge via ANT+.

On some intervals, the Wahoo will just switch to resistance mode.  This seems to happen more on the longer intervals.  I have a data page that shows the target power, and when that happens, the target power field shows empty.  However the built-in workout screen still shows the correct power range - I just have to switch gears to maintain power.  This is an annoyance but I suspect it is because the KICKR disconnects.  It seems to have pretty poor antennas or is very susceptible to interference.  This normally fixes itself on the next interval step.  Hmmm writing this out makes me think this is a problem on the KICKR...

Once the workout is complete, and I get "cool down with lap key" message, the pedal resistance on the KICKR goes to 0.  I would expect the Edge to put the KICKR into resistance mode so that I can at least have something to pedal against.  Is there some setting that I need to set?

The other question is - is it possible to have the workout files deleted automatically when I've completed a workout?  I manually copy them from Training Peaks into the Garmin but then I have to clean up manually also.
