Distance in miles

I recently brought a Garmin edge 530 and I have tried to set it up so that in the distance data field it shows miles but I can’t figure out how I have tried everything Garmin tells you to do but it doesn’t work can anyone help me out here?

Settings -> System -> Units -> Statute
