Live strava segments not showing up

After recently buying the edge 530 I have an issue. There are numerous strava starred segments on my Garmin device but only one of them shows up on the map when riding. It displays a separate timer and the fastest rider on that segment from my following list. However this is the only segment that works, the other dozen or so do not show up in real time. I am a strava summit subscriber too. Should I remove all and start again? The annoying thing is that this feature is the main reason why I bought the 530.

    At this time, Strava do not sync downhill segments to devices for Strava Live Segments. Please keep in mind that our system recognizes even the slightest negative grade, and there may be segments that display a 0% grade that will not sync to devices for Strava Live Segments.

    I have the same problem. Some segments work, some not. I have the segments on my edge, but they don't pop up. Is there a solution in near future or a workaround? If not, I will return my edge 530  and use the 520. Thanks a lot

    I've opened a support ticket with Strava, but they'll likely only respond with a boilerplate answer about safety, or something.  I get the downhill segments being "dangerous," but any negative grade being unavailable is absurd. I can see any grade greater than -3% or -4%, but when there's a segment on gravel that is 1m lower at the end than the start that is filled with rides and falls and goes for 3km? is this really dangerous? or vice versa, the end point is 2m higher than the start, but there is a 15% donslop at the start with a gradual rise, and an average grade of.5%, so it's okay?

    Having the same problem - this was not an issue on the Wahoo Elmnt Bolt I was using previously.  All segments (even multiple at the same time) always appeared.  Why is Garmin struggling to do something that has worked pretty well on Wahoo devices for a few years now?

    Do you plan on fixing this or should I return my edge and buy the wahoo that everyone says works fine with downhill segments?

    Could you post the course you were following. I would like to see if it is a Strava creation issue or a Garmin execution issue.

    I looked into this and the issue is a Strava issue in that they are only marking the segments on the first lap of a multi-lap course in the course file.

    I have passed this information on to them.

    I am seeing same issue - only 1 segment (and that segment is a descent), plus it shows my PR and that personal record is few months old. I have many faster times at that segment already. fw 5.28

    Strava will not send updates out for downhill segments and they have recently changed their code to prevent downhill segments getting included in courses.

    Having same problem here. I erased all files on \garmin\segments and will test tomorrow. I will keep you guys updated. cant understand why Garmin didn't solve this annoying thing.
