Edge 530 v5.10 update - lost GPS and EPO

Bought an Edge 530  new 7 months ago and it worked perfectly for 4 months then went into a drawer for 3 months while I wasn't cycling outdoors. I took it out and powered it up for a ride this week and it automatically downloaded and installed V5.10 software, and ever since then it cannot get a GPS signal.

On the 'About - Copyright Info' screen it reports the Software at 5.10, but GPS Version 0.00 and EPO Missing.

Id previously only connected it to Garmin Connect on my phone, but  yesterday I installed the latest version of Gamin Express on my laptop and connected it up and it did a European map update and trailforks update but still won't get GPS. I tried deleting the  Garmin\RemoteSW folder on the unit and then syncing with Garmin Express and the RemoteSW folder reappears with two files in it, but the unit is still saying GPS Version 0.00 and EPO  missing and wont get a satellite connection.

Really annoying as I've had 3 garmin watches and never had software problems, and I'm now using my 3 year old Vivoactive HR to record my cycles.

Cant think of anything else to try. Any ideas before it goes back?

Thanks
