Unable to sync workout on Edge 530

Question

Help please! I just purchased a Edge 530 and i got difficulty using some functionalities. 
 i am not able to sync workout from my connect app to the edge 530, when im trying to send to the device, it said no device is active or not compatible. 
 Any ideas to fix this issue?

What type of workout is it and how was it created? I have noticed some type of workouts are not compatible (when I say not compatible I'm referring to the structure of the workout and whether is based on time or distance and or which threshold)
