Edge 530 shows call alerts, but not text alerts

My wife's Edge 530 will display call alerts but not text alerts. Calls show up in the missed alerts, but no record of texts. Edge's firmware is up to date, and iPhone is running 13.3.1. Connect app is v4.28.1.1

Really puzzled why call notifications show up but not text messages.

I finally resolved this. It is a setting. After having this working on iOS and edge 530 it stopped like everyone else after a new iOS update @ 12 months ago. Changing the setting below for me worked.

Same for me, some notifications working just not SMS. Have tried all the above and even fully resetting the 530, removing from Connect and starting again. Really frustrating that this isn’t consistent as my missus has identical device setup and no problems at all. Help!

Anyone resolve this? My wife has the same problem with two different Garmins.

I changed my setting to ‘show previews” on my iphone notifications page. Mine is now set to “ show previews “when unlocked” “
i then removed my Garmin from phone, and reconnected it.
i then got a (BT) plus (BLE) connection. I previously had a BLE one plus another “xxx530” but without the “(BT) xxx530”
after reconnecting the phone adn Garmin i now get text alerts.
this has been annoying me for over 12 months....

I found a setting in message notifications. You need to toggle that so it also shows preview when unlocked (default). Solved my problem on iPhone XR and 530.
