Edge 530 - Cannot Unlock Maps Error

I have tried reinstalling the map via Garmin Express , however the error still exists on startup.

Any ideas on how to fix this ?

Same problem for me.

Managed to fix by going to navigation on the edge, while having garmin connect app open. The edge then gets you to authorise trailforks, this includes registering while connected to…

I had logged the issue with Garmin and they had absolutely no clue... they are still investigating the issue !

Thanks, this worked for me. In my case these were the two files present, both the size of 45,282KB.

I have moved gmapprom2 to a separate folder and the "Cannot Unlock Maps" message disappeared from the startup.

Thanks, this worked for me. I deleted the file D7557010A and restarted the unit. Problem solved.

Registration on trailforks App is not immediate and the confirmation mail for signing in can take some hours, so be patient

I tried everything. Solved this issue by analysing the ".img" map files on the garmin drive. It turned out that the only file that did not update recently was creating the problem. On my device it's name was "D7557010A.img". Moved the file on the PC and after that it works how it should.
