I have tried reinstalling the map via Garmin Express , however the error still exists on startup.
Any ideas on how to fix this ?
Thanks !

Same problem for me.
Managed to fix by going to navigation on the edge, while having garmin connect app open. The edge then gets you to authorise trailforks, this includes registering while connected to…
1. Install the Garmin Connect App on the phone
2. Connect your device with phone using Garmin Connect App (via Bluetooth)
3. Go to TrailForks app in Garmin Connect app (on your phone), create account and…
Thank you so much ..That worked ... .you are a genius !
I had logged the issue with Garmin and they had absolutely no clue... they are still investigating the issue !
Thanks again !
In the \GARMIN folder on the Edge were (among other maps) two IMG-files with a size of approx. 45 MB each. When I opened them with a text editor I could identify them both as trailforks maps. I deleted one of them (IMG-file; I don't remember the filename), but I kept the gmapprom2.img on the Edge.
It worked. Initially it was not working, but then I uninstalled Trailforks application through the Garmin Connect App and reinstalled it again, then asked me to login Trailforks and to give authorization. When I started Edge and went to Navigation -> MTB-Tracks, the message appeared that the map was unlocked.
Thanks mightspurs
Same issue here, COAS - would you be so kind to give a bit more detailed step-by-step instruction? Like
1. Start the app on (phone or PC)
2. Go to....
3. Uninstall TrailForks app
4.....
Tried everything so far, but still the same error. Maybe I am missing a step or something...
Just navigation ? no submenu ? Brows map etc ?
this worked for me, thank you!
1. Install the Garmin Connect App on the phone
2. Connect your device with phone using Garmin Connect App (via Bluetooth)
3. Go to TrailForks app in Garmin Connect app (on your phone), create account and log in
4. On your Garmin device, go to navigation -> MTB trails (something like that, don't remember exactly)
5. It will ask you to authorize access to TrailForks on your phone (notification should pop up while having Garmin Connect App opened - if it does not, try to reboot your device/connect and reconnect with phone until it works)
6. After that, it should unlock the maps.
Happend to me on Edge 530 after I tried to update the maps via Garmin Express.
After unlocking those maps, connect to PC again and update Trail Forks maps - new version shoiuld be available.
This also worked for me. I was unable to get the trailforks login to pop up any other way. Thanks a bunch for taking the time to post this.
