Garmin Edge 530 Maps with iPad

Hey there,

I am in Chicago for a few days and recognized that I dont have the Maps for the US on my Garmin Disappointed

so I Downloaded an OSM Map to my ipad - but now I have the Problem to get the Map on my Garmin. I have a Lightning to USB adapter - so I can charge my garmin with my iPad, but ist doesnt get recognized by the documents app...

I tried to force the storage Mode by Holding the laps button - but that didnt work either....

do you have any idea how to get the maps on my garmin using an iPad or an iPhone?
