how do I clear "updating the GPS firmware" message

when I turn on Edge screen is black with message"Updating the GPS Firmware" with spinning wheel at bottom. after a while Edge goes to sleep. when I turn back on same message appears. no way to get past it and it seems no update is actually happening

I also had the same issue. All was sorted out however when I connected the Edge 530 back to my pc and ran Garmin Express. Express picked up that there were still updates and then downloaded them to the…

Yes, you are right. It's a major update. Hence has to connect to PC Garmin Express to update. Problem solved.

I have the same issue, but cannot connect to Garmin Express on my Mac. GE says my device is "not connected" so is not recognizing it, likely because of the Firmware update loop it is in.

Help

This sucks.

This is one of many inconsistent problems with this relatively new (purchased in Sept) device. Im ready to return it.

I have the same issue as above but connecting to Garmin Express has not worked for me. Os there anything else I can try?
