Incorrect rides in History - deleted and wrong ones come back

Looking in HIstory, I see rides that I didn't do with the 530m and none I did do with the 530 - basically old ones from last year. Which is weird. I tried deleting all those rides, and got a different one back. I presume its from Garmin Connect. But the recent ones? No sign.

Anyone else have this problem?

  • Surprised I'm the only person with this. After deleting all history, gradually over a few days, all the bogus rides are back

  • I have similar issue. I only see two rides from last year March! (It is now January)

Its bizarre I have hundreds of rides since.

  • When viewing the list of rides do they have  a cycling icon next to them? If yes they are ride summaries. See below.

I suspect what you are seeing is ride summary data that is being placed on the unit as part of physio true up.

This data is held in the Garmin\Summary folder. You can delete the contents if you don't want it.

I think this goes back 60 to 70 days.

You would need to switch physio true up off to prevent additional activity summaries being placed on the unit.

  • Yes but there are only 2 and none of my recent rides are showing up, which is strange as until recently it was nicely showing all of them. I then got a memory warning and deleted ALL history rides on the device.

When I looked today to re-ride my yesterdays ride from January 15th I only saw two rides from March 2020 (sic)

So although I delete everything I only get some random rides from last year re-appear (I presume synching from connect)

I ride daily so expect to have at least the last 5 or so rides available in  history.

  • You could try toggling Physio True up off and on. Saving the setting between value changes.

  • The rides on connect are irrelevant. Talking about the Connect stuff (it wasn't clear you were talking about that) doesn't help people understand what problem you are having.

Something else is going on. (Likely, the physio stuff aweatheralll talks about.)

  • So turns out connect does interfere with the Edge530

I deleted once more all "Rides" but this time I also deleted the "All Activities" section on the 530 which contained an indoor ride (without distance recorded just time and heart rate from my Fenix 5) and a few seconds after deleting all my rides re-appeared again in the history section under "Rides"

These get synched via WiFi from Connect.
Not sure why people here claim Connect is unrelated because clearly that is where the downloads the history from.

All is well again and it has loaded hundreds of rides into history (if not all, which is hard to see because scrolling on the 530 is veeery slow)

In any case my issue is resolved. I can only assume it was the one event which was not classed as a "ride" that was recorded with my Fenix 5 that caused the issue
