Ever since I started using the Beta software with my EDGE 530, Express for Mac can't sync my device.
I have to use device WIFI or Mobile Connect.

It should be the txt file. Make sure the date and time match the error message during the sync, That will provide verification that it is the right file. Then run a sync without disconnecting. It recreates the file after every power on, so the error will not disappear until you run the sync a second time. It will error out after every sync. This is just a workaround and Garmin would need to somehow resolve the issue with the creation of an invalid file.

The 530 can have as many activities as it has space and I have close to 12GB of space, and only 4 months of activities anyways...
It's probably just the EDGE Beta software and Express not knowing how to deal with that.
There is still an activity limit of 200 even if you have space. You may see some odd behavior if you reach 200 stored activity on the unit.
Be cognizant of the date in time instead of just globally assuming it is an activity file. I backed up and deleted all the activity files and the error still persisted. You should be able to identify the file with the information presented in the dialogue box.
Thanks for that. I recall a review that stated otherwise, but I can't find it now. Not that it matters, I'm far from 200 activities.
Does the EDGE unit automatically delete activities as it needs to when at the limit?
