New Edge 530 user

I have edge 1000 that I have been using for the last 3 years. Just a few weeks ago bought a new edge 530.

I have few pre-recorded rides in my garmin connect done by edge 1000 that I like to be uploaded to my edge 530. How should I do that?

I tried device to device file transfer, unfortunately the edge 1000 fail to detect edge 530.

    if you attach your Edge 1000 via USB cable to a PC or Mac, you can copy the course from the GARMIN/Courses folder to your PC, then unplug the 1000 and attach the 530 and copy those course files to the GARMIN/NewFiles folder and then the Edge 530 should be able to see them.
