Record running activity, firstbeat metrics

Hello,

does anybody abuse the edge 530 for record running activities? I did so and the firstbeat metrics are like crazy - aerobic and anaerobic benefit over 3.XY. Honestly I don't trust them and would like to hear about our experience.

Regards,

Albert

It makes sense that the Firstbeat metrics would be off, the Edge is a cycling device and it's using your cycling physiological metrics with a running activity. In general people's heart rate is higher when running then cycling so your running HR would throw it off. If you have a multisport or running Garmin device it actually has a separate set of zones and VO2 Max calculation for running that the Edge does not know about.
