Recently I bought my first stand alone GPS unit and have been playing with it, googling stuff I don't understand etc. Basically figuring out how it works. 99.9% of the time I use it as a cycling computer only, I haven't tried to go from data to maps etc. Mind you my computer arrives tomorrow so I haven't hooked it up to one yet cause I don't have one, I usually use Wi-Fi. My problem is while using the search maps thingamabob on my 530 I have to constantly refresh the map while using it for navigation. Meaning I have to exit and enter the map while riding just to get the direction and road right. Going straight down a road is fine but Everytime I make a turn the 530 doesn't follow me, it stops my progress at the end of the road before the turn! Frustrating!! I know I need to download some courses but this shouldn't be an issue at all every phone I've had that has maps/ GPS on it follows in real time, why doesn't my 530? I'm mostly asking cause I plan on a long trip in the future and while I may be able to upload courses I've yet to figure out a way of saving a course I haven't been on yet; (i.e.: a course from my house to Louisiana). Anyone have the cure to my ailment? I'm not tech savvy, smart phone is pretty much it, like I said I'm getting my 1st laptop tomorrow. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
