Map detail - lack of

I have recently purchased the Edge 530 but i am struggling to display the maps when zoomed in. Only major roads are visible, no minor roads, no tracks, no trails - not even the street i live on. Am i doing something wrong?

I to had this problem when I first got my edge 530.

I hooked it up to Garmin Express and re downloaded the maps - problem solved!
