Firmware 5.00 is not pushed on my 4.10 Edge 530 running 4.10. I tried connecting the Edge to Garmin Connect Mobile on iOS and to Garmin Express on OS X. In both cases the 5.00 firmware has not been detected as being available nor has anything been pushed to the Edge nor can I trigger an update by going into the Edge's settings and selecting "Firmware Update".
I know that there are third party sites that will let me download 5.00 and manually push it onto the Edge but I'd rather get my firmware through official channels. Is there a way to convince Garmin's servers to push the firmware on my device or can I download it directly from Garmin? Will connecting the Edge for a couple of hours to e.g. Garmin Connect Mobile result in the firmware update being available? Any other tricks I might try?
