What differences with the indoor profile

Aside from the obvious, no GPS, are there any hidden differences for the Indoor profile on the Edge? With the Fenix, for example, Treadmill and Trail Run don’t produce a VO2 Max. Are there any of the physiological measures that don’t apply for the Indoor Bike (even when using a Power Meter and Heart Rate Monitor)?

Trying to diagnose issues with TrueUp!

thx

  • I have an issue with the indoor profile not prompting me for nutrition/hydration intake when saving the activity.

  • Did you ride for more than 90 minutes? The prompt is only activated after 90 minutes of activity time and needs to be enabled with the profile.

By default the eat/drink alerts are off on the indoor profile

  • Firmware version 5.00 improves trainer discovery and connection when using the Indoor profile.

Personally, I find Physio True Up gets out of whack when my VO2Max changes. If your indoor cooling is inadequate, this can lead to increased HR and changes in reported VO2Max from indoor cycling, even if the Indoor profile is functioning perfectly.
