Why is my Garmin Edge 530 turning off during ride?

Its not on battery save mode. It's just turns off completely. I've only had it 3 weeks & bought if for overseas trip - download maps & it's just so inconsistent. 3rd day of turning itself off! Any answers please
Never heard of that from others. The unit may need to be replaced. If you bought it from a retailer that will replace it (like REI) I'd go get another one and see if it still happens. If not, sounds like time for a call to Garmin support.
