Log Laps but don't display on screen

I want to log laps so I can check out the stats post ride,   but I don't want the audible and visual alert on the head unit.       My old 310XT handles this OK as there is an option to turn off notifications.     I can't see such an option on the 530?

thanks

David

  • Settings> Profile> Lap Summary> Hide Screen

  • Settings > Activity Profile > xxxxx > Data Screens >    No Lap Summary added

Settings > Activity Profile > xxxxx > Auto Features > Auto Lap > enable    (custom lap banner has all data fields turned off).

I still get a Lap message every 1 mile.    Will log a support case with Garmin.

  • Garmin came back to me with

"f you've set up Auto Lap, it will give you a brief notification each time you've hit the lap marker set. Unfortunately it's not possible to turn this off."

  • You can't disable it and it was driving me nuts that it hides my important data with some history stats. But you can mitigate it a bit - modify the "Auto Lap" screen and hide the 3rd and then the 2nd data field. This will make the screen lower so the top elements are visible (that's where I keep my power)
