Screen Protector for Edge 530

Hi, I'd like to get a screen protector for the 530 and came across 2 different kinds on amazon.

Screen protector that has a cut out for the ambient light sensor (most expensive)
Screen protector without the cut out (99% of all the 530 screen protectors on amazon and much cheaper compared to the one with the cut out).

Is it recommended to get a protector with the light sensor cut out or are the regular ones without the cut out just fine?

I just put backlight at 10% all the time. bonus: long long long battery live

Tried the 10% on my ride. Works like a charm. That's all the brightness I need.

i run mine at 0% - i've got it on the extended mount and mounted down a bit to catch more light.

Good tip, thanks. I just did this. I also tried screen timeout - 15 seconds and will see if it works for me. I wonder what % the auto brightness setting is usually at (for when its sunny out and at night)

No timeout, no auto auto brightness, always on/10%. It just works great under daylight and at night.

Compared to when it is off, I think, the power draw of 10% setting is negligible. (and it is also good when you're in a tunnel!)

I'm using the brotec protectors from this site (protectionfilms24). Shipping was pretty quick to the USA and I'm happy with it.
