GPS issue

I have problems with GPS. Sometimes gps has a problem catching a signal. Today the problem has appeared again. GPS in open area could not find satellites. After restarting the device it found satellites, but see in the picture from the attachment how the track was recorded. (the tracks should be identical but has a divergence of several kilometers to the south)

Dark Blue track is good, orange track is freak

Do you have a camera or other electronic device mounted near the Edge?

I had a similar issue today, GPS (no GLONASS or GALILEO was activated) lost its satellites for no reason and did not recover from this situation. After restarting the device everything was fine. GPS chipset 2.5, Edge firmware 4.10, the corresponding fit file is

had a look at your fit file with FitFileRepairTool

after a stop/start you get an off course notice and from that point no GPS logging

you were following a course

distance/speed always being logged by speed sensor

New Edge 530 does not record the ride and reports it as a indoor ride. It does record the normal details. Does not record the map of the ride. I restarted the 530 and did exactly the same. I had a 520 with me and it worked perfect. Very frustrated with new Edge. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Use a different profile when starting your ride.
