I just got an Edge 530 and I'm trying out the navigation: I've plotted my commute route on Garmin Connect and synced that to the device and then started the ride (Navigation -> Curses -> Select -> Ride).
On the data screen I could see a grey bar popping up near the turning points but there was no text (Navigation Prompts is set to text) - once I even got a small red bar saying "Warning!" but again the grey box was still empty. The only time when I was some text was when I went off course because of road works and when I rejoined the planned route. When I switched to map screen I could see my position and the route correctly but again no instructions.
The device is running 4.10 and the maps are up to date. What am I doing wrong? :-(
