Strava Login via Google Account in Connect App

Dear all,

I start the Strava Routes App on my Edge 530. Then, the Android Connect Mobile App shows a site to login to my Strava account.

I choose "Login with Google", since I use my Google account to login to Strava. (Login with e-mail and password is not feasible.)

Then, the Connect App shows this page:

Any idea how to solve this issue?

Or does Garmin need to update the login procedure implemented in the Connect app?

I had the same issue. Found going the other way let it work.

On the Strava website, visit strava.com/upload/device and find the Garmin option to authorize a link to Strava.

The only way I got it working was by disconnecting my Google account in Strava. After that I could login with a email address / password.

They do. Embedded user-agents (like the Webview) are not allowed to make OAuth calls (I believe a Chrome Custom Tab should work in this case). Unfortunately there's nothing you can do until Garmin updates the app.

This worked for me.

I logged into the Strava app on my phone.

Went to settings my used email address and a password field that was empty.

I inserted a new password in this field and saved.

Went back to the login screen for Garmin connect as above.

Clicked forgot password.

Entered password and they sent me an email.

I put the same new password in.

Then it words fine.
