is there a quick way (or what's the quickest) to show my current gps coordinates / position on this device?
on the edge 520 there was a button "shortcut" once it had a lock on a gps signal to press the power button to bring up the brightness control and then to hold the lap button down for about 5 seconds. this does not work anymore or brings up the emergency "call" for assistance.

Some various Garmin IQ applications that are for coordinate display. I'd suggest making a datafield on a screen that shows your coordinates, then it is always available on that screen.
