Hi,
I’m continually getting “eBike battery is empty” messages on my Edge 530 (that would be a translation of the Dutch message I’m getting: “eBike batterij is leeg”). This message is wrong, because the junction box of the Di2 system itself shows that the battery is actually charged. I know that there are a lot of problems with the data reading and connection with the Di2 with all Edge series (5xx, 8xx, 10xx). A quick search convinced me that this is a tough ongoing issue.
Now, I don’t mind these wrong readings. I only use the DI2 to operate the Edge 530, which is great BTW! The problem however is that these “eBike battery is empty” messages are taking up the whole screen and ONLY BY CHOOSING THE OK BUTTON WILL DISMISS THE MESSAGE. So, as long as the message is displayed I can’t read the metrics, map etc. This is particularly annoying because these message may appear every 10 seconds. This renders the device useless...
QUESTION FOR GARMIN: Can you please make this message a status bar message like for example the messages that are showing when a device is found.
Would appreciate this enormously!
