Broadcast HRM from fenix 5 to 530 Edge

Has there been success in using he Heart Rate Monitor broadcast feature on the fenix 5 to connect to the 530? I have the watch set to broadcast upon activity etc, but have not been able to pair the watch to the 530. I only find a way to pair it to garmin connect. The instructions on this are vague sometimes. thanks if people have some further insight

My Forerunner works fine, connect as a HRM in the sensor connect part of the Edge. I would assume that the Fenix is much the same.

thanks. I set it broadcast and the loaded it as a sensor on the 530. We will see if that resolves it tonight if i am lucky enough to go ride! thanks again

Hey, yes it worked for me. Set the F5 to broadcast in the Sensors > Wrist Heart Rate > Broadcast Heart Rate option, and add it in the Edge 530 as a normal HR Sensor.

I had trouble doing this with Vivoactive HR. The HR sensor was recognised by the Edge but the data field was not being logged. I uninstalled the sensor and reinstalled it and it worked. Thanks for the answers above.
