Safe to Pause the 530 and Turn off without Sensor drop outs

Does anyone know if it's safe, to manually pause and turn the device off at Cafe stops and turn back on, pressing start when ready to leave?

I've used this feature on previous Edges and all worked perfectly, especially since battery capacity was a bit minimal. I have tried this recently, and it seemed to work okay on the 530, but it got me wondering, if that's what caused all the sensor drop outs?!

Yes, after the recent updates you'll be good. I'm on 3.50 and haven't had the issue.

I have done this a few times with the two beta firmware and I have not experienced the sensor drop outs issue after waking up the device from sleep.

Didn't know there is a pause function - i always struggle to get it to pause and end up deleting the route (crap moment). How do i pause the unit?

I just press the button bottom right and it pauses. I don't save or whatever and can just press it again when I set off again. Seems to work.
