Power Meter Zero Offset shows 0

I've had my 530 all of one day so far so still getting used to it, coming from a 510 I've had since they were launched.

I'm running a Stages V1 PM. Whenever I Zero offset / calibrate it on the 510 I would always get a value of around 867 or something like that. With the 530 the value is shown as 0 (Zero).

Is this normal? I'm still on firmware 3.20, will wait for 3.50 before upgrading (have tried but not available to me as yet) but according to Stages FAQ “The expected range of values is within +/- 50 from 890, so expect to see numbers in the high 800s or low 900s when calibrating properly.” Which fits woth my previous numbers.

How long does the "phased" availability or software usually take to rollout?

I think you might be paired over BLE and not ANT. Over BLE it returns 0.

Over ANT it should return what you expecting. Currently it returns a failure. I have opened a support ticket for that.

Thanks, yes, you are correct. I hadn't even considered it was connecting over BLE, for some reason just assumed it was ANT.

I did a manual calibration of my Stages from the Stages app on my S9, it returned a value of 866.

I upgraded my 530 to 3.50 - and I then swapped the sensor details in the 530 from BLE to ANT and did a calibration and it returned a value of 865 which is about what I'd expect (not sure why it wasn't the same as the Stages app, but close enough).

I did NOT experience the failure that you mentioned above.

I retested it over ANT and it worked correctly the second time

aweatherall I have this same problem with my Stages power meter. When I go to the sensor details, it shows BLE under network, but I can not select it to change it. How is this done?

You cannot change the pairing.

The best way to do it is to disable the current pairing.

Then do a new pairing, which will only find the ANT channel. Add that.

Then go back and delete the BLE pairing.

If you have upgraded to 3.50 then you can just delete the current BLE pairing and do a new search. The UI has changed to offer you the ANT channel first..

Sorry for the confusion, when I said I swapped the sensor details, I actually removed the sensor then added it again as ANT
