Elevation query when on a live segment

Hi. When on a live segment if if switch from the segment screen to elevation the chart always shows a steeply climbing brown hill what is it indicating please? At the segment end it goes back to the normal green elevation chart.

It should be showing just the profile for the segment, whilst on the segment.

Are executing a standalone segment or a segment embedded in a course?

i am usually following a course that covers my live starred Strava segments. Thanks for your replies

Did you also have ClimbPro enabled. I 'm guessing so as that would be where the brown color would come from?

Yes I did and the brown profile looks like a climb - no resemble to my segment elevation profiles which are mainly flatish.

There is a bug in the current release when executing a segment that is embedded in a course file (a course loaded via the Strava Route app) were it does not show the correct elevation profile. This I've been told is fixed in the next full release. There will also be a change to support segments and ClimbPro climbs concurrently,

On the elevation page ClimbPro color codes climbs from Cat 4 through to HC.

The color you are seeing is likely dark red, which is for HC climbs.

Could you post the course file?

Yes that’s my problem seems to be showing me one of the climb profiles on the route. It’s brown. Thanks.
