Can the "sharp bend ahead" notification be turned off?

Every time I am approaching a turn I get a notification warning of a sharp bend ahead. I was doing hill repeats on a twisty section of road close to home and and had the alerts going off constantly which gets a bit distracting.

Yes. It's under 'Settings' - 'Activity Profiles' - 'Riding'- 'Navigation'. By default it's turned on.

On the Garmin 530 it's located under "Settings" / "Activity Profiles" - select the profile you want to change, then scroll down to "Navigation". You'll now see the feature and by default it's "on". It's called "Sharp Bend Warnings"

Even better would be the possibility to turn off the 'sharp bending warning' only in segments.
Or disable this when going up-hill, yet that is impossible afaik.

supremely annoying during a Crit race which has “sharp bends”
