I suspect this is a bug...
Any hints why the VAM (vertical speed/climing rate) shows up as mile/h when the rest of the settings are in km/m (metric)?

I suspect the value is correct, just the label is wrong. Should be (vertical) metres per hour.
Would be nice to climb at 497 mile/h though ;-)
Try toggling the setting for the elevation unit of measure under units to force it to be re-cached in memory.
I don't think this is a metric/imperial issue. VAM is never measured in mile/h. It's either metres per hour or feet per hour
Is this in the post ride summary or on the real time training pages?
It reports OK on my unit using build 3.33
I've just checked my device and can recreate it by setting my language to Swedish (version 3.2)
I have passed this information on to Garmin.
You could hack the Swedish text file, if you felt like it. In the Text folder look for the Swedish.gtt file
Then look for the following and change it.
<str>
<tag>TXT_SUMMARY_HISTORY_meter_per_hour_STR_M</tag>
<txt>mile/h</txt>
</str>
Thanks!
After changing in gtt file evrything works great.
