Anyone know the actual battery life. Garmin says 20 hr. with 2 sensors hooked up. So I would assume most have Bluetooth,HR monitor and GPS going while riding. So how many ACTUAL hours do you estimate? THX

I just did a 200 miler on Saturday with 18500ft of ascent. c20 degrees temp. Fully charged Garmin Edge 530 with the latest firmware. 1 second GPS recording. GPS and Glonass on, but not Galileo.
I had…
Does anyone know the actual spec of the battery, or the extra battery pack? Its V, mAh and A? also what are the charger requirements?
Following my last post re: the 200 miler, I forgot to say that Climb Pro, food and drink alerts were all turned on too, as were the maps turned on to pop up on approaches to junctions rather than just…
I did a 3hrs 8min ride last Monday, with Power and HR over ANT+. Used a Course for navigation and had the Map screen in front of me for about 40% of the ride. Battery went from 96% to 79% during the ride.
Would say that the actual battery life should come pretty close to the 20hrs that Garmin is reporting.
It's realistic. Though that's only using GPS - Galileo or Glonas will eat into your battery life significantly. Mapping will have an effect too. Rendering of the map does take some processing power and rerouting can take a lot.
Plus, there are battery saving features which you can activate during a ride (most notably turning off the display while keeping all sensors active). With those, you can ride full 24 hours easily.
So I have to say the battery life is really impressive, I just finished a 15.5hr ride with 61% remaining. This was with 1s recording, back light only on for 15s after button press, GPS only, full route navigation, and 3 ANT+ sensors. At that rate I would have exceeded the quoted 20hrs by nearly double.
