Beep/Alarm Volume

Is it possible to increase Beep volume?  The default volume is pretty weak for things like upcoming turn alerts when riding, and just forget about the "bike alarm" - I doubt a thief would even hear it let alone be deterred by it.  (also I don't get notifications on my paired smartphone when the alarm activates)

  • I agree, bought a 830 to complete the set, watch-Varia and bike computer. The wahoo bold I have has a much louder alert fir the Varia, please developers solve this for us!

  • When my Edge Exploer is mounted on a extended out-front mount (not a Garmin mount...), I can not hear the beeps. When it is mounted on the standard mount yes, I can hear them clearly. Apparently the larger mount occludes the speaker.

  • See if the mount has a hole in the middle? The Garmin has a speaker in the middle at the bottom and if the mount doesn't have a hole then the sound is muffled. At least that's what I found with my Edge 530 and non-original mount.

  • Just yet another user requesting that Garmin provide a louder beeper in future Edge devices, with variable volume settings. Also, make it possible to pair a BT earbud to the Garmin beeper. Would be very helpful for all of us older Varia users who have less than perfect hearing.

  • I drilled a hole in the middle of the mount, but that barely helped. Now I switched to the standard mount (the one which is being delivered with the Explore), and beeps are loud and clear now.
