Beep/Alarm Volume

Is it possible to increase Beep volume?  The default volume is pretty weak for things like upcoming turn alerts when riding, and just forget about the "bike alarm" - I doubt a thief would even hear it let alone be deterred by it.  (also I don't get notifications on my paired smartphone when the alarm activates)

    More importantly, I'd like to see some options which allow you to turn on only specific sounds. While it's horrible to hear a beep every time you stop or start moving (especially while you're walking next to your bike in a crowded pedestrian zone) it's useful to hear it when you get a notification.

    How does the beep volume compare to the 520 ? I find that my 520 beep is only just loud enough when using my Varia radar, I was hoping the 530 beep would be louder.

    I have the 830 and it's way louder than my 520.  More importantly the speaker holes on the 830 has been relocated away from the center of the locking tab.  Hence the sound isn't being muffled by the mount.  On the 520 the volume improved after I switched from a Garmin mount to a K-Edge mount which has an open hole on the bottom.  So far I have no complaints on the beep volume of my 830.  Your mileage may vary.

    I am trying a 530 and the beeps are extremely low in volume. I want to have the unit beep when the Varia Radar finds a vehicle. This is the only thing that keeps me from keeping the unit. Even holing it in my hands the beep is barely discernible.

    Well, returned the 530. Varia is useless without an adequate audio volume. Right now using an Edge 25 to display the Radar along with the Bolt. I'll have to wait for an adequate Radar solution. Sigh.

    Did you return yours directly to Garmin or to the store you bought it from?

    Thinking about returning mine also.

    Sent mine to store.  It sucked!  Worst device I have ever bought!!  Had only 1 week.

    Yes, I think I'm going to have to return my Garmin 530 as well due to lack of volume. Good to hear that the 830 is louder. What is the point of the $200 Varia radar if you can't hear the alert?? Garmin developers,  you have to fix this!

    I had EDGE 130 and had good beep sound , now I have 3 days Edge 530.... terrible sound, I can not hear nothing.... I am very disapointed

    I just bought the Varia Radar 315 and when used with my 520 plus and UT800 light in the combo mount i can't hear the beeps, when i move it to a stem mount i can hear clear as day. Frustrating that I have to use a work around like this given the investment in a garmin connected bike
