Cannot upload activity, neither wifi nor bluetooth does work

Since I bought the computer I cannot upload my rides in any way other that via PC and cable. I tried disabling WiFi and using only phone connection, but I get an Upload failed message every time. Through WiFi only it says Upload finished but the ride does not appear in Garmin Connect, website or app. The connection to the device seems to work ok, I can load data fields and apps from the store on it without problems. Firmware is 3.20.

Try closing the GC app. on your phone. Then power off your phone completely. Turn the phone back on, open the GC app., and try uploading the ride via the GC app.

I tried it, did not work. The app says sync complete but the activity does not appear in GC. I tried it exactly as described. Also tried multiple restarts, reinstall of the app, forget the device etc. It still won't upload. On the device always Upload failed message. In the app sync complete but activity is not uploaded. The phone is a Galaxy S7.

Ok, I found the problem. There is a setting in GC for allowing to upload activities. Not sure why it would be turned off, but it was. Now it sync correctly. Thanks for the assistance anyway.

Can you advise where the setting it in GC I am having the same problem and cant seem to find it??

My issue was with the setting in Garmin Connect -> Settings -> Profile & Privacy -> Data -> Device Upload

Three years later this still works. Just got my garmin and had activity upload issues. It kept saying "upload failed". I almost wanted to return my garmin and get a wahoo... thank you!

I'm having the same problem, but it suddenly started after a year of using my 530 (it did coincide with using the Varia radar for the first time).

The proposed solution with Settings and Device Upload doesn't work since it was always on..
