Edge 530 crashes on ClimbPro

Hello,

on my recent trip my Edge 530 crashed (1 freeze forcing turn off , 2 automatic restarts with partial loss of data) at time of the ClimbPro sections.

I had two climbs on a long tour and I had Elevation Screen turned off but ClimbPro activated (as I find the normal elevation screen useless). Some users hinted that this may be the reason. If it is - still seems a bug to me as a devcie should never crash/restart based on settings in the menues.

After the second climb was over the unit worked almowst flawless but I somehow lost confidence.

The almost is related to the fact that the remaining ascent and remaining ascent until next waypoint data fields showed very incorrect data until I stopped the track navigation.

Are those know bugs and will it be fixed?

    In the current build (3.20) the ClimbPro page replaces the elevation page. I can see not having that page enabled might cause issues. I spoke with Garmin about this behavior and the good news is that they told me the next release will add the ClimbPro page as new page rather than replacing the elevation page. 

    If you have the err_log.txt file from the Garmin\Debugging folder could you post it, as that will allow Garmin to confirm the cause of the crash.

    Not sure about your second issue. It may be due to the crash.

    Try enabling the elevation page and ride another course with climbs and see how things work.

    I had exactly the same problem with my 530 this weekend, have disabled climb pro now. Buggy crap as usual from Garmin.

    Software issue. Not sure on the date.

    Thanks for the answer. Below the Err_Log2.txt from the Debugging/Saved that is from the same date so I assume its  the one from Crash day.

    And I had the elevation screen disabled but ClimbPro enabled..
