Trainer F-EC Sensor Setting

I've paired my trainer within the 'Training' setting however when riding indoors I dont always want to use my trainer as the controller. Say for example if I'm on Zwift the head unit automatically connects to the trainer and I am forced to 'forget/remove' the sensor in order to allow Zwift to control my trainer.

Where is the option to 'disable' the sensor. Has anyone else experienced differently? I am missing something?

  • try to pair kickr with power meter, not to pair smart trainer, that will solve everything.   If you are a zwift or trainerroad user (i do both), usually you will never need your bike computer to control the trainer in any cases.

  • I'm aware that I can do this and typically control with Zwift... However with the recent Tour de Watopia I wanted to follow a structured workout (controlled via my headunit) while riding in the event.

But the next time I wanted to ride on Zwift my 530 would automatically connect to the trainer even while not following a workout... And I'm forced to forget/remove the sensor in order to pair to Zwift via FEC.
