Activity not uploading

I did an indoor activity this morning and noticed later that the activity did not upload to Garmin Connect.  I've been trying for almost an hour to get the activity to upload, without any success.

  • The activity is in the history list, under the rides section.  I can see all the data there.
  • I tried to upload it from there, and it sometimes says successful and sometimes failed.  It has yet to show up in Garmin Connect (phone or web)
  • When I mount the Garmin as a drive on my computer, there are FIT files, but not one for today.

Any suggestions how I can get the activity to upload?

  • Could the date be wrong on the activity? If it does not show in the activity folder then it cannot get uploaded.

  • Ok -so I think I figured out what happened.  I noticed the time on the Edge was out of whack (it showed 8:57PM when it was 6:10PM).  And then I noticed an activity on a day that I did not do one.  So the device date and time was messed up and it recorded this morning's activity on a different date (Sunday, not today).  I am now wondering if it was because of the battery drain that I reported in another thread.  The device was in Indoor mode, which disables the GPS.  The date only corrected itself when I set the unit to Outdoor and allowed it to acquire satellites.
