Map not visible

I have the device since a few days and was happy with it. However, since today the display of the map is buggy. Sometimes it works properly. Most of the times it shows no map at all, only the trailforks trails. If I change the zoom the map shows for the blink of a second, so I suggest it's on the device, but not displaying properly. Any suggestions what to do? I already did a factory reset, but the problem remains. If I have the time tomorrow I'll try to reinstall the latest software and map. Any other suggestions?

  • Are you using a profile set to "Mountain"?

    Do you mean the activity profile? So far I only used roadbike and Mountainbike. The map issue only occurred in the Mountainbike profile and I didn't try if I have the same problem with the road bike profile before I did the factory reset. Meanwhile I reinstalled the latest software and maps. Since then I did one short workout in the roadbike profile with no problems so far.

    Do you think there is an issue with the Mountainbike profile?

  • Possible, the trailforks map is only active in the MTB profile. I would check that the cycling maps are also active. Under the activity profile look under navigation -> maps -> Map information

    I don't think that's the issue, since it was only certain areas the map was not working properly.

    So it is most probably a problem occurring in the Mountainbike Profile only. It happened again today, in all the road bike training of the last days it didn't. I suppose I'll have to send it in.

    I have the same problem and it happened after last update of trailforks map. But now even when I uninstalled Trailforks from device - map is still not visible.

  • Check the following

    Settings -> Activity Profiles -> <name of profile you are using> -> Navigation -> Map -> Map information

    Check that all the maps are enabled.

    This isn't the problem, at least not in my case. I checked it, just to be sure. But since the map works fine in some locations and in others not it has to be activated. I even can see it for a blink of an eye when I zoom the map.

    Do you also have that bug in the Mountainbike Profile only? And where were you riding when it happened? I'm having the problem in different regions of Switzerland, never rode in other countries, though

    I use only mtb profile for now, riding in Poland. I have exact same effect as you - when zooming out or in the map is visible for a half second. So far I found only one solution - turn off trailforks map in Settings -> Activity Profiles -> <name of profile you are using> -> Navigation -> Map -> Map information. After disable trailforks map everything is ok.
