GPS + Galileo Satellite Lost

I'm using a Garmin 530 with 3.20 firmware version in Spain. During the ride I have received multiple times a warning advertising me of Satellite Lost. Reviewing the route I found some strange peaks probably caused by these GPS lost.

Is a common issue with Galileo? Or is a generalized problem?

I thought that having more satellites was good for accuracy...

There is another thread on this. Currently there can be some positional errors when using Galileo. Garmin are working on this. I would expect there to be a GPS update soon that will address it. In the mean time try using GPS+GLONASS

No problem, many of the new devices Garmin has released this year use the same GPS chip. This is why I know it will be a high priority for Garmin to fix this issue.

Same issue here. I lost the signal completly. As soon as I switch to GPS + GLONASS everything was working fine. I think GPS + GALILEO should be considered as experimental for the moment.

I was also experiencing multiple "Satellite Lost" issues on my Edge 530 (v3.50) with GPS+GALILEO over the last days. The errors in the resulting track vary from subtle deviations to more obvious hickups like this:

If I understand you correctly I should prefer 3.33 beta over the 3.50 release in order to use GALILEO? Because the issue is not fixed in 3.50 as you can see below.

Same, Edge 530 (v5.30) with GPS+Galileo, ruined a good workout. You can clearly see where I was riding and where Garmin thought I was riding.

The track should be South Ave to East Ave and Wilder, clearly not even close......lol
