K-edge mount for 530

Hi, I have run K-Edge mounts on my bikes for years, currently have an Edge 510 and have a 530 on the way. I’m guessing the 530 isn’t going to fit the current mount, certainly not allowing access to the bottom buttons. So, new mounts required, Anyone know what model number k-edge mounts I should be looking to buy, preferably with the camera mount underneath?

    Try your existing mount before you buy the extended mount, the 530 fits fine and it is not that difficult to hit the buttons since the bottom face is angled.

    Don't know if this helps but this is what mine looks like on a standard K-Edge mount with my Edge 530. There is about 8mm between the bottom buttons and stem plate, enough for me to access the buttons, though admittedly I do have skinny fingers.

    Thanks for the pic, I’ve probably got less room between my 510 and stem than what you are showing and from what I can gather, the 520/530 are physically larger than the 510? I’ve had my mounts for years, the 510 wouldn’t fit on the 500 mount and think they bought out slightly longer “standard” mounts when the 520 came out.

    The distance from the centre of the 530 mount on the back of the device to it's bottom edge is roughly 4.3cm, so you could measure from the centre of your K:Edge mount to your stem plate. The 530 does actually come with a longer (and redesigned) Garmin Out Front mount than what the 520 did, although my old 520 mount fits the 530 without a problem.

    The new Garmin Out Front mount sits the device lower than previous mounts. Annoyingly though, with the ability of attaching a battery back to the 530, its changed the underside of the new Garmin Out Front Mount. This means I need longer screws to attached the Go-Pro fitting to it. I only have the K:Edge on the best bike and the OEM Garmin mount on my commuter (which I use the Go-Pro on). It's the actual Out Front Garmin mount that has changed though, not the fitting on the device.

    Thanks for the measurements - I’m measuring the Edge 510 at roughly the same 43mm and about 46mm from centre of mount to stem plate. It clears the stem plate by about 1mm when you twist out the device.

    Maybe the 530 will actually fit, i thought they were physically larger devices.

    I have the new Edge 830 (which is same size as the Edge 530) and use it with the standard length K-Edge Garmin Combo mount without any issues.   I have the Garmin UT800 light mounted below.  This K-Edge mount does not work with my larger Garmin Edge 1000.

    K-edge have had numerous versions of mounts over the years, I think I’ve currently got the Aero Combo mount, and now they sell a Pro Combo mount, don’t know if there are any differences at all and any difference between the length of the combo mounts and standard mounts.
