Feature Request- Autodisable lights and radar when on indoor profile

I have one bike on my trainer and another bike next to it that I ride outdoors that has lights and radar.  Every time I ride the trainer the lights and radar on the other bike turn on.  It would be nice if these devices were automatically disabled on a indoor profile just like GPS.  Otherwise you need to manually disable them each time you ride the trainer and manually enable them when you go back outside.  I would like the devices to be auto disabled when indoors and auto use the setting in the sensor details when outdoord.

    I have been asking for this feature for a while, when I had my Edge 820. It seems like a no brainer and something not too difficult to implement.

    It should already be on the 820 and I think on the 530. How is the light network set-up?

    It should be

    indoor profile = no lights, with light mode set to Auto or High Viz

    If the light beam activation is "Device Power Up" and it was last used on "Road", then the lights will turn on until you switch to indoor mode. The lights always turn on briefly on device start regardless of mode but begin behaving after a few seconds.

    Where is this light setting for activity profile that you wrote of? I can't find it under the Indoor activity profile. I sold my Edge 820 - thank god - right before I picked up the Edge 530 so I can't verify it's on the 820 but I didn't see the ability to disable lights before I got rid of it.

    What happens to the radar?  I can turn the light network off and the radar seems to stay active. At least the little symbol is on the screen

    There really ought to be a setting that disables lights and radar for indoor profile. If you do not specifically disable the Varia radar in the sensors menu, it's still active.

    Were you able to find this setting for the indoor activity profile in your 820 or 530?

    The light control setting is under the sensor setting for the lights.

    There is no specific control for the Indoor profile, Garmin has hard coded that any profile that uses the indoor ride type will not switch the lights on.

    For the radar it needs to be paired both as a radar and as light. The best way to do that is to remove the radar pairing from the Edge  and then put the radar in pairing mode and add it is a light. The Edge will automatically add it as radar as well.

    Currently the radar icon will stay on the screen. I have raised a support ticket with Garmin to get the radar icon removed when using an indoor profile.

    I verified that in the Indoor profile, the lights do not turn on but for some reason, if the Edge 530 has any problem forming the light network, it keeps on displaying the message "forming light network" even though there is absolutely no reason to do so for an indoor profile.

    Instead of hardcoding, Garmin should provide options to disable Lights and/or radar for each activity profile. For example, when I am racing using the race profile, I want the lights and radar disabled.

    The above two are screenshots from one of the activity profiles on the Edge 520. I believe this just enables or disables the light network screen, and that it actually does not enable/disable the lights. Perhaps there could be a similar menu to enable/disable radar/lights in each activity profile?
