Off Segment on Strava Segments

My Edge 530 with Firmware 3.20 is constantly reporting Off Segment on Strava Segments.

This rarely occurred with the 520.

GPS signal strength shows all bars.

Battery Save Mode is disabled.

Data Recording Interval is 1 second.

I have tried GPS, GPS+GLONASS, and GPS+GALILEO and have experienced the problem in wide open terrain.

Same here. Nothing seems to change it's gps lock and it doesn't report loss of signal.

"Almost Happy" to see that the problem i have on 820 exists also on 530 . Hope Garmin will care on their new products and eventually update FW on 820 too, when they will consider it a major issue... Been waiting since the buy of 820 in october 2018. Was and still OK with 810.

Lost connectivity with GPS, power meter, iPhone X, and Edge 530 rebooted in the middle of ride.

Seeing how peeps are complaining about satellite issues, I'm not surprised there are segment issues as well

My primary concerns, listed in order of importance:

1) Rebooting during ride

2) Loss of connectivity to power meter

3) Loss of GPS signal and subsequent loss of Strava segment

On the issue of reboots, could you see if there is an err_log.txt in the Garmin\DEbugging folder on your unit and post it here?

I have the same problem. It seems a little bit less accurate then my 520 at some points. I was wondering does it use the phone when it is connected for better positioning or it relies only on its own hardware because I was riding without my phone at the time? Here is my .fit file. As you can see it totally goes out of the trail on my way up and I'm with a speed of 12-15km/h which is not that fast. Weird thing is that the red line is the downhill line at it is accurate while the blue line which was at the time of climbing is not.

There is a GPS update to 2.42 that is available as port of the 3.33 beta. You can install just the GPS update if you don't want the beta software.
